During the showcases, no table service will be provided. However, water will be available on your table for your comfort.

From 20:00 to 01:00, our DJ will set the tone for an unforgettable night with a refined selection of ballroom and Latin music, inviting you to enjoy the dance floor throughout the evening.
The floor will remain open all night, with only a short pause for the Viennese Waltz Opening and the Pro Show.
✨ Dinner Buffet
Indulge in an exquisite dinner buffet prepared by the renowned chef of Salons Mantovani, celebrated for the excellence and refinement of his cold buffets.
A delicious dessert will be served at your table, accompanied by an elegant coffee & tea corner.
Red and white wines, sparkling wine, light beers, water, and soft drinks are included during dinner. The open bar will remain available from 22:00 until 01:00, allowing you to fully enjoy an unforgettable evening of dining and dancing.

A spectacular professional Latin showcase presented before midnight to ensure everyone can enjoy this highlight at its very best moment.
We are proud to welcome Iryna Gamova, our Latin technique teacher from Ukrainia, together with her Belgian partner Wouter Jacobs.
Iryna and Wouter are competing at the highest international amateur level and proudly representing Belgium on the international dance floor, they are among the country’s leading Latin couples.

We completely understand that this time of year can be especially busy and stressful for our dancers, with exams and many other commitments.
Rehearsals are a wonderful way to build confidence and feel prepared for the showcase — but we also know that sometimes other priorities must come first.

I do not want to participate in the showcase, Can I join the ball?
If participating in the showcase isn’t possible this time, that’s absolutely okay — dancers are warmly welcome to join us at the Gala Ball as guests. Participation in the performance is not required to enjoy the evening together!

tipps and adjustments to make them comfortable for dancing
- no trains
- no tight skirt form see picture below
- shoulderline should allow to take up the arms to shoulderhight
- dresses should not be to havy, otherwise they will delay too much when you turn
- adjust the seemline about 5-7 cm off the ground, see photo 2
- a shawl, wrap or cape to cover the shoulders during dinner
- longs gloves are a stylish accessory with sleveless dresses
- a two piece dress or wide pant combination can be an alternative, the top can be reused easier later
- even a top in lace, brocade or velvet combined with a wide skirt or very wide legged pants see photo here under

when you fit the dress,
- take your dancing shoes with you
- walk backwards are you stepping on your seem then it needs to be trimmed
- make a few dancesteps and turns, everything stays in place, perfect
- lift up your arms, all in place even if you turn with the arms up, excellent choice

The date is not our free choice, we have to consider the availability of the Salons Mantovani. Just in case the next year is already fixed to 1906/2027
Do I need a dancepartner?
No!!!!
As the number of boy and girls is very unbalanced, we worked out special choreographies for the showcases. So all girls will dance with a partner and solo at some point of the presentation. There are partner changes integrated into the dances. A special rehearsal plan has been established to make sure everybody gets enough practise. Please make sure that students will attend all rehearsals.
For the open dancefloor, we trained all students to dance with each other. All girls did learn the leaders and followers steps so they can also dance with each other if they wish to.
Why does it take place at the Salons Mantovani?
The wedding location offers a spacious festive hall of 1000 m², with a perfect wooden dancefloor. The whole complex has been renovated in 2021.
The catering is excellent and at a reasonable price. The service attentive and discrete. It has a big free parking area, a wonderful garden area to take a little breath.
It also houses the Belgium Championship of the professional and amateur dancers in the month of Mai every year
What is included in the price?
aperitif, cold buffet, dessert, soft drinks, free parking, and the whole ball programme.
For the safety of our dancers no alcoholic drinks are served to the junior club dancers. Adults will have red wine, white wine and or beer during dinner through out the ball. Strong beers and other alcoholic drinks are not included!
Why do juniorclub dancers also pay for the ball?
The yearly fee only covers the danceclasses and the rehearsal to the ball. We cannot cover ther galaball with annual class fee! Thank you very much for your understanding
Do I need to participate in the Galabal?
No you are not obliged. However it is a very experience to follow the whole programme including the ball. Foreign Universities still do have the tradition of galaballs and for your professional life, you might be invited to represent your country, your profession or your company at a galaball event
Are the parents joining us?
Yes. This ball is hold as an formal event where the participant will present the confidence and poise they have achieved in dancing and during the formal dinner event.
Since 2019 we have opened this event to all Skylight Dance Club dancers and also to dancers coming from other clubs.
Only one parent can join me? / Parents dance
Sometimes important agenda issues will cause problems and only one parent can accompany the student to the ball. However it is better for the dancer if at least one can come to show him/her the appreciation for the effort to come to the dance classes for a whole year.
We do not hold a special dance with the parents any more. But if you wish to have a dance with you daughter or son, then please take the time to practise at least once with them at home. Your daughter or son will be delighted to show you what they learned and share their skills with you.
Anyhow we plan enough time for the parents and students to dance on this really beautiful floor of 250m².
Private lessons for parents
Crash classes for parents with dance experience can be booked as private lessons. (Max. 3 couples they should all have the same level)

Can other family members or dancing friends join ?
With pleasure. Take care that brother and sister should be dancers themselves, so they can really participate in the ball.
Can junior club dancers under 18 years also come to the ball alone?
Yes please use the minor registration form.
How to get to the Salons Mantovani ?
We are trying to group transports, where possible. So please let us know if you have available place in your private car.
Can we book a table?
The new online booking allows you to choose your own places at the table.
If you wish to be seated a specific group, communicate with each other to book the same table. There are only 10 places available per table.
Please note the junior club students are seated in separate area, very close to the buffet.
However the Skylight Dance Club reserve the right to regroup the tables, if necessary, of course we will notify you by email.
